Gloria L. Romero-Medina is the controller for The California Wellness Foundation. She brings more than 19 years of nonprofit financial management, and is passionate about investing in others and providing communities with access to key resources and experiences.
Before joining Cal Wellness in April 2020, Romero-Medina served as controller/budget director of Mount Saint Mary’s University, where she developed the annual and multiyear budget models, supervised the accounting department to ensure accurate financial data, and oversaw the completion of the university’s year-end audit, federal and state audits. She previously worked as director of finance for United Way of Greater LA, and began her career as manager of finance administration for Community Partners, a nonprofit fiscal sponsor supporting emerging organizations.
Romero-Medina received both her MBA and BS in Business Administration from the University of Southern California. In her spare time, she volunteers as a mentor to first-generation college students.
